Silversea Cruises and Fincantieri have signed a contract worth around 310 million euros for the construction of a new ultra-luxury cruise ship that will become part of the fleet in 2020.
The new unit, which should be called “Silver Moon”, will be the twin of the “Silver Muse”, delivered last April at the Genova Sestri Ponente yard. As the latter it can accommodate 596 passengers on board, maintaining the intimacy of this smaller ship and spacious cabins – all suites – which are the distinctive characteristic of Silversea.
This will be the tenth ship of Silversea and, once operational, it will significantly raise the standards in the ultra-luxury sector with many improvements to the on-board experience, in order to meet all the expectations of the most demanding travellers in the world without any compromise in terms of comfort, service and quality.
