LAMINATED PANELS FOR THE PUBLIC AREAS OF COSTA DIADEMA

Costa Diadema is the largest Italian cruise ship ever built. It can accommodate nearly 5,000 passengers, offering a wide range of top class services. In addition to its immensity, the ship strikes for the stylistic choices of the famous architect Joseph Farcus, who has cared for design in every detail. In all public areas, Farcus wanted to replicate a motif he called “lira” because he remembers the lines of this ancient musical instrument, applied to a background that reproduces a refined motif invoking the wooden root.

Lift doors, fire doors and balustrade for the staircases have been manufactured using flame retardant laminates for public spaces, characterized by a remarkable wear resistance due to anti-scratch, shock and anti-abrasion properties.

The process of creation

All of our panels are highly adaptable products. In this case, it was possible to adapt fantasies and motifs to the size of the ship doors without any difficulties. The main advantage of digital technology, with which we realize the fantasies of our panels, is the possibility to reproduce any decoration on any surface of any size, without the necessity to cut or make modifications of any kind. Another advantage is that you can match any existing furniture or, alternatively, recreate it ad hoc in the event of refurbishment or refitting.
